Cowardly Attack Will Unite the People of Jalisco
Guadalajara, Jal., October 9, 2008. In the name of the United States Government and in my own name, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families of the policemen who were murdered yesterday during a confrontation at a gasoline station on the highway between Lagos de Moreno and San Juan de los Lagos.
The brutality of this incident is condemned vehemently. Organized crime is undermining the people and the government of Jalisco. These acts will only unite society in condemnation of the criminals involved and will emphasize the contempt that the cartels have for human life and common values.
